Since 1840
A hotel that tells Köthen's story.
From the railway restaurant and the Kaiserhof to today's Hotel Stadt Köthen.
1838–1840
The railway restaurant is built.
Köthen master builder Christian Konrad Hengst constructs the original two-storey, castle-like three-wing complex with corner towers.

1840/41
An early railway junction.
The building's history begins with one of Germany's first railway junctions. It housed a restaurant, pastry shop, apartments and, until 1848, even a casino.
1884
Expansion into a hotel.
After a fire, a third storey is added. Around the turn of the century, the restaurant becomes Hotel Kaiserhof.

Since 1991
