General Terms and Conditions of Hotel „Stadt Köthen“ GmbH & Co KG, valid from 1 September 2025.

1. Formation of contract

The contract is concluded when the hotel room or conference room has been reserved and confirmed by the hotel. Company reservations require written order confirmation or an undertaking to cover costs. Option reservations may be released after the agreed deadline.

2. Cancellation

Cancellations must be made in writing. Individual bookings for up to 10 people: free of charge up to 7 days before arrival, thereafter 75% of the room rate. Group bookings for 11 or more people: free up to 60 days before arrival, 60% up to 30 days, 75% up to 7 days and 90% from 6 days until one day before arrival.

3. Rates & pets

All rates are final and include service and VAT. If more than three months elapse between contract conclusion and the service, prices may be adjusted. Dogs and cats are charged at €10 per day.

4. Arrival and departure

Guests should arrive by 8:00 pm; later arrival must be announced in good time. Check-out is by 11:00 am. For late departure, half the room rate may be charged until 2:00 pm and the full room rate thereafter.

5. House rules & liability

Guests are liable for heavy soiling and damage caused culpably. A €50 cleaning fee may be charged for breaches of the no-smoking rule in rooms. Food and drink brought to events require written approval.

6. Payment

Company invoices are due within 14 days where a written undertaking to cover costs has been provided. Private guests pay in cash or by card on arrival or departure.

7. Final provisions

The place of performance and jurisdiction is Köthen. Deviating agreements and subsidiary arrangements must be made in writing. Luggage may be stored at reception on the day of departure.
